The goal of cosmetic removal of these types of skin lesions is maximal improvement with the minimum residual scarring after treatment. Methods include surgical removal with a plastic surgical approach, electrocautery with a hyfurcating device, cryotherapy, shaving and chemical cautery and laser therapy. Often no scars or very little scarring will be noticed once the treated areas have completely healed.
